Professional Experience and Accomplishments

 

Amanda is an award-winning senior manager with a robust background spanning the finance, technology, real estate, higher education, consumer goods, publishing, art and design industries. With a Master’s Degree in Design Management (Innovation/User Experience) from SCAD, Amanda is passionate about inspiring creativity and energizing teams to deliver cutting-edge user experiences, products and services.

As a strategic creative marketer with a rare skill set and 15 years of experience, Amanda has the unique ability to produce highly creative results for her clients. Throughout her career, she has served in creative and marketing management capacities, driving account based creative direction and the roll-out of customer focused campaigns that deliver results aligned with business objectives, sales goals and KPIs.

Amanda's sweet spot is the 360 experience: researching, benchmarking, planning and tactically executing inbound and outbound components, with an emphasis on targeted branding, positioning, messaging and relationship building that compels customers to stay engaged throughout every phase in the sales funnel. 
Her strengths are identifying opportunities for organizational growth, strategizing novel solutions, and executing multifaceted initiatives that drive ROI alongside forward thinking customer focused experiences. 

 

Education, Affiliations and Community Service

 

Raleigh, North Carolina is Amanda’s hometown and where she resided until pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. While obtaining her degree, she worked at UNCG as a Marketing Assistant for the Research and Technology division and as an intern with the Marketing Communications department. In 2008, Amanda graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in graphic design and minor in business administration. Immediately after commencement, she fulfilled an internship with the advertising agency Bluezoom, where she designed creative concepts and supported executives in client pitches and account negotiations.

 

In 2008, Amanda relocated to Savannah, Georgia, in pursuit of a Master of Arts degree from The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She completed her design management graduate work in 2009, which concentrated on the generation of innovative, R&D driven, user-centered and disruptive design. Directly after graduation she landed an internship and fellowship in creative management capacities at American Greetings in Cleveland, Ohio, and Cooking Light Magazine in New York, New York. Since her academic achievements, Amanda has focused here career on leading teams to develop outside-the-box and state-of-the-art solutions that deliver high-quality results. 

 

During her personal time, Amanda enjoys mentoring, networking, learning and continuously growing as a professional member of The Association for Women in Communications and The Young Women’s Alliance. She volunteers with Samaritan’s Purse, March of Dimes and The Salvation Army. On weekends she frequents music and art festivals, parks, coffee shops and plays fetch with her Austin Pets Alive rescued pup, Brooks.
